Firstly, learning how to read in 1 hour is not guaranteed. It might take longer for some, or shorter for others.
Secondly, this will not ensure that you will read Korean fluently. This guide will only help you start off. Whether you are able to read fluently or not depends on whether you continue putting effort in improving.
That...should be it lol let's start!
Step 1: Ask someone who knows all the Korean consonants and vowels to write it for you, as well as the romanisation of each consonant and vowel, or you can search it up on Google.
It should look something like this: Consonants | Vowels)
-> I asked my classmate who's Korean to write it down for me. It was extremely vague - she didn't write that 'ㄱ' for example could represent both 'g' and 'k' in the English alphabet. It had mistakes as well since she wasn't very fluent in English but it was still usable nevertheless.
Step 2: Find a song that you have listened to tons of times.
[!!] Make sure you know the lyrics of the songs very well.
[!!] Also, it's best if you used a ballad or any song with a soft/slow backtrack so that you can hear the lyrics more clearly.
-> I used Jessica & Onew's '1 Year Later'.
Step 3: Find the Korean lyrics of the song you chose.
Step 4: Start romanising each Korean character one by one.
For example, the first lyric for '1 Year Later' is: 한. If you use the images I linked, the romanised version of the character would be 'han'.
-> Now, my friend didn't tell me which character I had to romanise first, but since I knew the lyrics by heart, I was able to romanise it easily.
-> Also, when I wasn't sure if I was right, I could simply just listen to the song and check.
5) Just..........continue doing step 4 until you're able to romanise it without looking at the cheat sheet.
-> I was able to romanise without using the cheat sheet around halfway through? I know that I didn't finish romanising the whole song though.
